The "Wind God and Thunder God" depicted on this furoshiki is one of the masterpieces of Tawaraya Sotatsu, a painter of the Edo period. Since ancient times, Japanese people believed that the wind and thunder gods are beneficial for victory and business prosperity. This Furoshiki is suitable for any cerebrations as well as daily use as a small bag.
This particular furoshiki is made with "Chirimen (crepe)". Chirimen is a type of traditional Japanese textile, it has a peculiar unevenness to the touch. It is popular and considered a typical expression of Japan and of Furoshiki. This series is 100% polyester and washable at home.
