The Returned Sailors and Soldiers Imperial League of Australia, the forerunner to the Returned and Services League (RSL), began selling red silk poppies just over 100 years ago in 1921. The poppies were sold to be worn as badges and as a source of fundraising in the lead-up to Armistice Day (now Remembrance Day).

This prestige collectable includes a magnetic red poppy badge, based on the stamp artwork. The stamp design cleverly brings together silhouettes of service personnel to form a poppy shape. These include representatives from the Nacy, Airforce and Army.
